The existence of clean water is very important for  human beings, since it gives a significant impact  to the health condition. The availability of clean  water supply has strong relationship with the  occurrence of certain diseases, such as diarrhea incidence  (Castro and Heller, 2009). Is community clinic the way forward?

The number of HIV cases in Indonesia has been rising rapidly, increasing the need for  antiretroviral treatment (ART). However, the public health expenditure on  HIV/AIDS is relatively low; ART in West Java is undersupplied and has limited  funding, resulting in only less than 50% of those eligible actually receive the treatment. New  strategies are urgently required to increase the uptake of ART within the limited resource  setting. The questions are how and where?

Higher education for the poor? It's Possible

To tackle the low participation of students from poor households in higher education, the  Government of Indonesia (GOI) and the private sectors introduced  Bidik Misi program in  2010, which provides opportunities for poor students to gain access to public universities.  However, despite Bidik Misi being a good incentive for poor students to perform well at high school,  most of them fail to meet the minimum academic requirement because students from high  socioeconomic status background outperform those from poor family backgrounds, both at high  school as well as in public university entrance examination.

Bandung adalah kota yang sangat dinamis. Pertumbuhan ekonomi-nya selama 5 tahun terakhir (sekitar 8% pertahun) selalu lebih tinggi dari pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional (6%).
