Bayesian Economtrics and Efficiency Measurement

Hasil gambar untuk grigorios emvalomatisScience and technology have been growing rapidly and the development mostly comes from the developed country. In order to fill the development gap of science and technology between the developed and developing country, Faculty of Economics and Business is proposing to invite a visiting and/or research professor, Dr. Grigorios Emvalomatis, from the University of Dundee, Scotland to provide the faculty members a recent development related to quantitative methods (mathematics, econometrics and statistics) and specific issues related to productivity and efficiency. Some challenges such as assumption and presents concepts, models and tools needed to analyze and quantify the levels of inefficiency and productivity at a point in time and their movement over time are discussed which are never been considered by most of the Indonesian researchers.  This training is also part of 60th Dies Natalis Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Padjadjaran.

CEDS supports the growth diagnostics study of Bank Indonesia

Monetary and fiscal policies are effective instuments to boost aggregate demand and growth in the short-run. However, they are not effective as a remedy for declining growth potentials. Declining growth potentials are currently an imminent threat faced by many economies including Indonesia.
